They have an extra holiday in the U.K.? December 26th is Boxing Day, a nationally recognized holiday. The exact roots of the holiday are unknown, but nowadays it kicks off the post-Christmas holiday shopping season and gives the Brits some extra time to relax and unwind at the end of a very busy festive season. We’re feeling a bit bah-humbug about this over in the States.
